I don't always know what a piece will become when I start — and this one surprised me. I blended the colors myself: warm tan, soft beige, rich shades of brown, and crisp white, then worked them into the clay until they formed this wild, flowing stripe pattern that reminds me of something between zebra and abstract expressionism. No two swirls are the same. No two pieces ever will be.

I crushed gold foil into a fine dust and layered it directly into the clay before sealing everything under a high-gloss resin finish. In the light, it shimmers like something ancient and precious. The large round donut pendant hangs from a luxurious bronze braided silk rope cord with a bohemian-inspired ornate silver clasp — every detail chosen intentionally.
